The SWAT (Short Wide And Thick) is a complex little board that is performance based with features of our HP models but with added volume for buoyancy.
The extra volume gives you enough buoyancy to catch waves easier and allows you to ride it up to 4 inches shorter than your standard shortboard. It's a great board that gets you set up on the wave and moving quickly without too much effort and will definitely get your wave count right up!
The medium to low entry rocker, full rails and low exit rocker give you an excellent combination of buoyancy, drive, speed and manoeuvrability. The extra volume is primarily in the middle of the board and helps to keep you moving through the fuller sections of the wave.
The single concave with a double inside it starts out shallow in the middle of the board and becomes deeper as it feeds water towards the rear and out through the fins with a slight vee in the tail. All this gives you a retro style board with the lift, speed and maneuverability of a typical shortboard.
